Special Freedom Fridays Event At Xfinity Live! On Nov. 13 Honors Men And Women Of Philadelphia Police Department. Nonprofit Philadelphia Police Foundation to Benefit from Proceeds

Xfinity Live!, Philly’s dining and entertainment district in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, will honor the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department on Friday, November 13 beginning at 8 p.m. as part of its weekly Freedom Fridays event with portions of the benefit’s proceeds going to the nonprofit Philadelphia Police Foundation.

The fun will take place in the PBR Bar & Grill inside Xfinity Live! with specially priced draft beers (a dollar will be donated to the Philadelphia Police Foundation for each draft sold), and live music, games and contests. Individual competition, open to all guests, will include a pull-up contest, wing-eating contest, push-up contest, and bull riding competition.

In addition, all law enforcement personnel showing their official badge will receive a complementary appetizer coupon.

“We want to thank Xfinity Live!, FOP Lodge No. 5 and 93.3 WMMR-FM for participating in this fun and exciting tribute to Philadelphia’s men and women in blue as well as benefiting the work of the Philadelphia Police Foundation,” said Maureen Rush, Foundation Board President and Vice President for Public Safety and Superintendent of Police at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Police Foundation provides funding to the Philadelphia Police Department for importantly needed equipment, training and programs not included in current city budgets.
