
G. A. Taylor Fernley Elected to the PPF Board of Directors
The nonprofit Philadelphia Police Foundation has elected G. A. Taylor Fernley to its Board of Directors, it was announced today by Maureen S. Rush, Board President and Vice President for Public Safety and Superintendent of Police at the University of Pennsylvania.
Fernley is President and CEO of Fernley & Fernley, Inc., of Philadelphia, and has been involved in the daily operations of the family business since 1973. Fernley & Fernley is a fifth generation family firm in the association management business representing 20 full service trade associations and professional societies in a wide variety of industries, business sectors and professions.
“Taylor Fernley will be a significant asset to our Foundation’s Board of Directors as we continue to fulfill our mission of support for the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department,” Rush said.
The Philadelphia Police Foundation (www.phillypolicefoundation.org) was established in 1999 by civic and corporate leaders in the Philadelphia region as “A Force Behind the Shield.” In the past two years, the PPF has raised and distributed more than $2 million for equipment, programs and training to the Philadelphia Police Department for important and immediate needs not contained in the city’s budget.
