The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 and the Philadelphia Police Foundation invite all members of the Philadelphia Police Department, their colleagues, friends, family and loved ones to celebrate the 215th Anniversary of the Philadelphia Police Department with a commemorative badge, lapel pin, belt buckle or challenge coin, all specially designed for this unique occasion in the Department’s history.

Collinson Enterprises has designed a commemorative badge, in the shape of the first issued City of Philadelphia Police badge, along with a mini-badge lapel pin, belt buckle, and two different challenge coins, to honor our 215 years of service to the City of Philadelphia.

All of these items are available for purchase either separately or as a set at the following website.

A portion of the sales from these items will be donated back to the Philadelphia Police Foundation to help in the fundraising efforts for the Philadelphia Police Department’s Mounted Unit.

This is the first time in the Department’s history that a commemorative badge and challenge coin have been designed in celebration of our founding. Anyone may purchase these items, current members, retirees, other city employees, as well as families, friends and supporters of the Department. This is a tribute to everyone who has worked for the Department, both past and present, and will help support the building of the new stables for the Mounted Unit.

Please view the following pages in this document, which show detailed pictures with each item’s actual size. For any questions, please call Sgt. Barbara Vuillermet, in the Office of Media Relations, at 215/686.3326. As a reminder, the PPD 215th Commemorative Yearbook will be published and delivered by April 2012. Thanks to all who participated in this celebratory effort.
