Peter Madden was recently named 2015’s Most Admired CEO by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Madden is a nationally recognized branding expert who founded AgileCat in 2001 as a branding agency specializing in advertising, design and public relations. AgileCat’s brand is rooted in the term “Agile Catalyst” – defined as quick, resourceful agents that provoke significant change. At the heart and soul of AgileCat’s services is Brand Therapy, a research and discovery tool that Madden invented to effectively discover and define a company’s brand promise, characteristics and aspirations. The result has been substantial bottom line revenue growth for companies as well as “top line” emotional connections to a brand’s core audiences: the current customer, the potential customer and the brand ambassadors – employees – who interact with the brand.
AgileCat was named Innovative Business of the Year in Philadelphia by the Center City Proprietors Association for branding and design. In 2006, Madden was named as one of the 40 most influential businesspeople in Philadelphia under the age of 40 and the previous year, he was recognized as a Vanguard by Philadelphia Style. In addition, Madden blogs for Advertising Age’s Small Agency Diary, where he comments on topics ranging from branding for success to the state of the industry.
Madden and AgileCat have been featured in numerous regional and national media including the Associated Press, BrandWeek, BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Portfolio, Money and The Los Angeles Times, which called Madden ‘ingenious.’
AgileCat clients include GlaxoSmithKline, Clair Global – the top touring audio company in the world, Pennsylvania’s largest privately held accounting firm Parente Randolph, Advocare and more.
Madden is an accomplished jazz musician and performs with some of the top players in the Philadelphia Region. He lives in Villanova with his wife Celeste and their two children, Gavin and Bianca.
