Night For Blue A Success!
In only its second year as the Philadelphia Police Foundation’s signature fund-raising event, A Night for Blue honored the Foundation’s first board president, noted Philadelphia attorney Patrick J. O’Connor with its Founders Award. The April 17th event at the Ballroom at the Franklin raised $721,950 that will be used to provide funding to the Philadelphia Police Department for important equipment, training and programs not included in the city’s budget. An enthusiastic crowd of more than 400 supporters enjoyed good food, music, and live and silent auctions. Guests at the early evening reception also had the opportunity to interact with Police Commissioner Richard Ross, his command staff, and numerous members of the police department’s men and women in blue. Foundation board member Judith Mondre chaired the Night for Blue committee.
