PPF Elects 3 New Board Members
The nonprofit Philadelphia Police Foundation has elected three new members to its Board of Directors.
Maureen Rush, Police Foundation Board President and Vice President for Public Safety and Superintendent of Police at the University of Pennsylvania, said the new board members are:
Gregory P. Montanaro, Drexel University’s Senior Advisor to the President for External Affairs & Executive Director of Federal Affairs Office of Government and Community Relations
Michael Leonard, Vice President of Motorola Solutions Sales and Services, Inc., for the Mid-Atlantic Territory
Fred L. Massanova, Partner, Baker Tilly, Philadelphia office
“The Philadelphia Police Foundation is pleased to welcome Greg Montanaro, Mike Leonard and Fred Massanova to our outstanding and committed board,” Rush said. “We are looking forward to continuing our support of the Philadelphia Police Department, especially in the areas of training, community youth interaction programs, diversity education, personal safety and operational equipment, new police officer recruiting, and new technology applications,” Rush said.
The Philadelphia Police Foundation (www.phillypolicefoundation.org) was established in 1999 by civic and corporate leaders in the Philadelphia region as “A Force Behind the Shield.” The PPF provides funding for equipment, programs and training not included in the city’s budgets, but of immediate importance to the Police Department. The most recent donation was for new motorcycles for the Highway Patrol to replace aging motorcycles in the Highway Patrol’s fleet.
