A Night for Blue : Thank You for Your Support!

June 2, 2025

This year’s Night for Blue was a meaningful and impactful evening! Thanks to your tremendous support, we raised over $930,000 and counting to fund essential programs and technology for the Philadelphia Police Department. A heartfelt thank you to all of our Night for Blue sponsors for your generosity!

Over 500 business leaders, Philadelphia Police Department leaders, Police Officers, community members, and elected officials gathered to recognize Holt Logistics Corp. when the 2025 Founders Award was presented to brothers Leo, Tom, and Michael Holt. We are grateful for the Holt family’s long-time partnership with the Philadelphia Police Foundation and their support of the Philadelphia Police Department.

It was also an emotional evening, as we posthumously honored Sergeant Jaime Roman, with the Extraordinary Acts of Courage Award. Sgt. Roman was tragically killed in the line of duty, having been shot during a traffic stop on June 22, 2024. He fought valiantly for nearly three months until he succumbed to his injuries on September 10, 2024. Sgt. Roman was just two weeks away from celebrating his seventh anniversary with the PPD when he was tragically killed. Sgt. Roman will always be remembered for his bravery as a police officer and his commitment as a devoted family man and friend. He will never be forgotten. We will forever honor Sergeant Jaime Roman’s sacrifice and lift up his wife Jazmin, his children, and fellow Officers.

PPD 2025 Initiatives

The Night for Blue concluded with a compelling call to action to support funding for expanding the Law Enforcement Drone Initiative and Electric Bikes. These resources will help the Philadelphia Police Department respond more quickly and effectively to emergencies. Thanks to the generosity of our Night for Blue supporters, the Philadelphia Police Foundation will be able to allocate significant funding for this program, enhancing PPD’s capability to make Philadelphia the safest big city in the nation!
