Honoring
Independence Blue Cross (IBX) is the region’s hometown health insurer. For more than 85 years, it has been at the heart of the Philadelphia community and committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the people and communities it serves.
Giving back to the community is a cornerstone value at IBX. Through its corporate giving and volunteer programs, IBX supports hundreds of diverse nonprofit organizations in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. This includes key initiatives of the Philadelphia Police Foundation, such as gun violence reduction programs, officer wellness, anti-bias training, highway patrol helmets, and N95 masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the leading health insurance organization in southeastern Pennsylvania, IBX delivers innovative, competitively priced health care products and services; rewards coordinated, quality care; and promotes equitable, whole-person health.

A Message from Our President
As the Philadelphia Police Foundation (PPF) celebrates its 25th Anniversary, I reflect back on where we have been and where we are going. Our men and women in blue have experienced unprecedented challenges over the past five years, which has only strengthened our resolve to lift up law enforcement. Because of your generosity and the funds raised at the Night for Blue, PPF has provided approximately $1 million annually in funding for the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) to support a myriad of training programs, life-saving equipment, crime fighting technology, youth and community engagement initiatives, Officer health and wellness activities, and much more. As you know, our city faces daily issues with safety and crime. In spite of this, I am optimistic that with your involvement, and the leadership of Mayor Cherelle Parker and Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, we will meet and overcome these obstacles. To our Board of Directors and Night for Blue Sponsors, please accept my sincere gratitude for your generosity, your continued support of the brave officers of the PPD, and your commitment to make Philadelphia the Safest, Cleanest, and Greenest big city in the nation, with economic opportunity for all!
Thank You to Our Sponsors

More About The Police Foundation's Night for Blue
The PPF’s mission is to help ensure transparent, equitable and excellent policing for everyone. The organization helps Philadelphia Police ensure and enhance the safety of every Philadelphian from every Neighborhood. Night for Blue is by far our most significant fundraising vehicle and has helped the PPF provide funding for critical equipment, advanced technology, youth initiatives and programs and innovative training that is outside the City’s budget.
A Night for Blue is a dynamic, festive and inspiring 2-hour networking event, with a silent and live auction, all in support of the unbudgeted needs of the Philadelphia Police Department. There may not be a more challenging profession in our country today than being a police officer in a major city, and therefore, with all that has transpired over the past two (2) years.
Over the past two (2) years individuals, businesses, and foundations have generously contributed nearly $2 million dollars to underwrite critical but unbudgeted priorities.
Thank you to all who joined us and a special thanks to all who donated!
