Community & Youth Engagement
We invest in programs that strengthen police-community relationships and engage Philadelphia’s youth, both in and out of school, including initiatives like Shop with a Cop.
Mental Health & Wellness
Officer wellness is essential. We support mental health programs including peer support, trauma-informed care, and small group sessions to ensure those who protect us are also protected.
Technology & Equipment
We fund cutting-edge tools and life-saving gear, from drones and high-tech cameras to Highway Patrol motorcycles, SWAT shields, Mounted Patrol horses, and critical safety equipment for specialized units.
Advanced Training
We fund specialized training that elevates policing citywide, including programs for recruits, forensic teams, aviation pilots, leadership, and more, to enhance safety and service at every level.
Funding as a Force for Good
As President of the business district in West and Southwest Philadelphia, I didn’t realize how critical public safety and order were until the Summer of 2020. Opportunists took advantage of local protests and a mourning city to loot stores, burn buildings, and harass police. I toured the aftermath and spoke with families displaced by fires, owners facing severe property damage, and workers whose livelihoods became uncertain. I joined the Board of the Philadelphia Police Foundation to help ensure our police have the tools, equipment, and resources to make sure this never happens to our City again.

The PPF has been instrumental in providing equipment and training to the PPD's Specialized Operations Unit. Just in the past 5 years, the PPF has purchased horses and canines, and provided funding for two police helicopter pilots to obtain their Commercial Pilots License. By providing equipment and training, the PPF has helped make Philadelphia safer.
