June 28, 2021
The Philadelphia Police Foundation’s (PPF) fifth annual Night for Blue was held on Tuesday, June 22 raising a record-breaking $867,000 and featured the presentation of its Founders Award to Daniel M. DiLella, President and CEO of Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. A Night for Blue is a dynamic, festive and inspiring 2-hour networking event, with silent and live auction, all in support of the unbudgeted needs of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Mr. DiLella is an accomplished business and civic leader both regionally and nationally. As President and CEO of Equus, he has grown the firm into a multi-faceted national real estate investment company with more than $4 billion in assets under management. DiLella is a member of the Board of Trustees of Villanova University and Chair the Trustees’ Committee. He also serves on the Boards of the Museum of the American Revolution, the Barnes Foundation, the Philly Pops, Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, and Drexel University Real Estate Advisory Council. He is a former President of the Union League of Philadelphia, where he is currently the Chairman of the Scholarship Foundation.
The independent, non-profit Philadelphia Police Foundation’s signature fundraising event will raise funds to provide important resources for the brave officers of the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) in support of the organization’s mission of transparency, equity, and excellence in policing. Over the past three years individuals, businesses, and foundations have generously contributed over $1.8 million via this event to underwrite necessary but unbudgeted priorities such as critical equipment, new technology, and advanced training.
